The 30-day rule: AI nudges your stale listings, you tap Approve from bed
An AI finds listings that have sat for a month, suggests a new price or an offer to watchers, and you approve each one from your phone. Nothing changes on eBay without your tap.
What happened in our store
Stale listings get worked every week instead of never

The problem
Everyone knows to review listings that have sat for a month. Almost nobody does it, because it means opening each one and deciding.
The workflow
- Each morning the agent reads the store's listings and traffic through the official API and lists everything over 30 days with its views, watchers and current price.
- For each one it proposes a single change: a new price with matching auto-accept and minimum offer, a better title, or an offer to the people watching.
- The seller sees the proposal, the comps and the reasoning on a phone-friendly page and taps Approve or No per change.
- Only an approved exact change is sent. The agent re-reads the listing right before sending so it never overwrites something the seller changed by hand, and reads it back afterwards to confirm.
- Declined changes are remembered so the same suggestion does not come back next week.
Why the approval step matters
AI agents changing live listings on their own is how stores get wrecked. The agent does the reading and the thinking. A person does the clicking.
For your store
Our honest estimate from running this. Your store and numbers will differ.
- What you need
- Your active listings sorted oldest first (Seller Hub can do this) and sold comps. The AI version needs eBay API access and a script.
- First try takes
- An hour a week by hand. A few days to build the AI version.
- First step tonight
- Sort your active listings oldest first. Take the first ten and decide one change for each: price, title, or an offer to watchers.
- After a week
- Ten stale listings worked instead of none. Next week, the next ten.
Tools in this one
- Claude Code Agent that writes and runs code on your own computer. How most of the Beartooth tools were built.
- eBay API Official way for your own software to read listings, orders and traffic. Browser bots are against eBay's terms; the API is not.
