Half your items selling in two days? You're pricing too low. Here's the one-line fix
Look at recent sold prices for the same item, price near the top of that range, and let auto-accept and minimum offer close the deal. Fewer two-day sales that were really underprices.

The problem
Pricing from the middle of sold comps means half your items sell in two days, which is the sign they were cheap. Pricing high by hand takes time and nerve.
The workflow
- The agent pulls sold comps for the same brand, model and size through eBay's official API. No browser scraping, which eBay's terms forbid.
- Rule A: take the upper quarter of the sold range, divide by 0.85, and that is the list price. The 0.85 leaves room for the offers most buyers send anyway.
- Auto-accept is set so an offer in the upper half of comps closes without you. The minimum offer is the floor you would rather keep the item than go below.
- The review page shows the comps, the rule, and the number, so the seller can read the reasoning and change it before it goes live.
- Items that sold inside two days are logged as "probably too low," items that sat 30 days as "probably too high," and the markup per brand and category drifts from that over time.
What happened
The store moved from mid-range pricing to upper-quarter pricing in October 2026. Sales slowed slightly, average sold price rose, and the offer flow did most of the negotiating.
For your store
Our honest estimate from running this. Your store and numbers will differ.
- What you need
- Sold comps (eBay's sold filter or Terapeak) and the offer settings on your listings. No code.
- First try takes
- An evening to price ten items this way.
- First step tonight
- Take your next ten listings. For each, find 8 to 12 sold comps of the same item, price near the top quarter of them, and set auto-accept and a minimum offer.
- After a week
- Too early to judge sales after a week. Watch how many of the ten sell within two days; if most do, you are still priced low.
